Rainbows and Squaw Peak

On the way to Grandma Camp's this weekend there was incredible beauty. Two full rainbows shone so brightly that we had to stop the car and take pictures. Unfortunately, pictures don't capture it quite as well as real life, like usual.

No photoshop. I swear.

We got really muddy on the way up and down Squaw Peak a few Saturdays ago. Tristan's pants were completely brown. Yet they still look blue in this pic. Man, my photography skills need some improvement.

Shake Your Peace!

Yesterday was Critical Mass and the Shake Your Peace concert. Let me sum up: Crit Mas is just a huge group of people that get together and ride bikes, not motorbikes, around town. Because of Provo City's bike laws it is perfectly legal to take a full lane of traffic when you have that many bikes. S.Y.P. is an indie band that is really... I guess the descriptive word would be GREEN. It's so funny and fun, but not something I would ever take seriously. So, their concerts are powered (yes, literal power to the amps) by audience volunteers that bike in the background. You can kinda see in some of the pics. Anyhow, we started on our bikes (with S.Y.P.) in downtown Provo and biked up to Rock Canyon. It was basically nuts. Once we got there they set up the stage. The concert was free because, well, they believe in that and because they joined up with Utahpia to save Rock Canyon. And after all this adventuring I feel like a hippie :)

Cedar City Competition

I work at ConfiDance Kids, a dance studio for children ages 3-13, and last weekend we went down to Cedar City for the high school sponsored dance competition. Our girls and boys did so well! We placed highest overall and won the sweepstakes award. They were so adorable and I loved watching them get so excited to compete. Not to brag or anything :), but the two dances I choreographed both got 1st place and the girls looked so good. I love them!

On the way down...

Kendra, Lily, and Alyssa after their cute trio on night 1...

All of our soloists, duos, and trios plus some teachers on night 1...

And our day 2 group dances...

A silly picture after the awards ceremony with all of the dancers...

Me being WAY too proud of our trophies...

And the whole group!

Here are a couple of amazing dancers... really, they'll be big someday.

It was a big success and I hope I can keep teaching and doing dance for the rest of my life!
